The Old Boy of Distinction Award was established in 2017 and is among Upper Canada College’s highest honours.
The award is presented annually by the UCC Association Council to one of the College’s 10,000-plus living alumni. The recipient will have: demonstrated a lifetime of significant achievement in his field(s) of endeavour; and have made a positive impact on the local, national or global community while upholding the principles and values of the College.
The Young Old Boy of Distinction Award is presented annually by the UCC Association Council to one of the College’s more than 3,000 living alumni for whom it’s been less than 15 years since their graduation from the College.
The recipient will have demonstrated a significant contribution in his field of endeavour and made a noteworthy contribution to community service while upholding the principles and values of the College.
To be considered for 2018-19, nominations must be received by Monday, Oct. 1.

Any member of the UCC community may nominate someone for an Old Boy of Distinction or Young Old Boy of Distinction Award. To nominate a candidate, please submit:
The Hon. Michael Wilson ’55 and Max Bruce ’05 were the first recipients. Wilson also delivered the keynote address at Founder’s Dinner on Feb. 12, 2018 .
All nominations will be treated as confidential by UCC and those involved in the selection process.
