Zhibai Tang ’07 supports the Class of 2007 Scholarship Fund, which goes towards Upper Canada College’s financial assistance program, every year.
Tang, a husband to wife Sheryl and father to a girl who was born in April, lives in Mississauga and works in downtown Toronto as an executive director for CIBC. He makes an annual contribution of between $250 and $350 to the College every year through United Way.
“The reason that I donate to UCC is because, when I came to UCC 15 years ago as an international student new to Canada, I received lots of support — both academic and emotional from the staff at UCC, from teachers at the Upper School to resident dons at the boarding house,” says Tang.
“The class of 2007 was great to me and I made many friends from my time at UCC. Understanding that alumni contributions make the program great, I want to make contributions on an annual basis to support the program.”
